I tend to wander, make spontaneous decisions, don’t require too much maintenance, and love being creative. I want to use this space to share my travel tips and hacks to help inspire you make your travel dreams a reality.
From the start, I had a strong love for exploring the outdoors, discovering new cultures and respecting the creatures and land we live on. Most of that influence came from growing up in Hawaii, where a melting pot of many cultures came together and the idea of caring for the Earth was central to the islands way of life (Aloha ‘Aina).
I’ve always had a sense of wanderlust to see different ways of life and the beauties of this world. Like many Asian kids, going to college was a requirement for my parents, but it honestly helped me find my way. My travel journey didn’t truly begin until I went to Shanghai中国 to study abroad for my International Business and Marketing degree. That same summer (only my 2nd time abroad), I went on my first solo journey to volunteer in Thailand at an elephant sanctuary at the age of 19. I explored every opportunity to travel (studying abroad, interning abroad, volunteering, etc.) and was determined to not let money or the fact that I had to go alone, stop me from traveling. Within 3 years of being a broke college student, I was still able to travel to 14 countries.
After I graduated, the pandemic happened. I chose to use this time to save up money to travel! Within a year and a half, I managed to save up $50,000 to travel the world. Once I reached my goal, I set off to find travel opportunities that allowed me to travel for free and even get paid to travel.
Fast forward to 2024, where I travel the world full time, get paid to create travel content, travel for free, visit dream destinations, and have once in a lifetime experiences! I want to show you how you can do the same! Travel can be within your reach if you know the right tricks.
